High Noon in Alabama

Most of North and Central Alabama was free of showers at noon.

However, scattered showers were already in progress across Southwest Alabama, generally from Southwest Dallas County southwestward to the coast and offshore. The showers were moving toward the northwest and the northernmost ones were moving toward Demopolis and Livingston.

More numerous showers, including some thunderstorms were over the North Gulf of Mexico off the Northwest Florida-Alabama-Mississippi-Louisiana Coast. Those, too, were moving northwest and delivering locally heavy rain and lightning.
