In the Heat of the Afternoon

No place to go in Alabama to escape the heat this afternoon. By 2 pm, these temperatures:

101 Fayette and Huntsville
99 Tuscaloosa and Birmingham

Over in Mississippi almost all of the north half had 100. In Memphis it was 102 and Little Rock 104! Still time to heat up a couple more degrees this afternoon.

THE THUNDERSTORM SITUATION
They were developing rather quickly this afternoon with most of them over the south half of Alabama. Some of the more numerous ones were Monroe Clarke and South Marengo. Other strong storms were over the extreme southeast.

All of them are moving from the northeast toward the southwest.

Conditions are favorable for some very strong storms this afternoon and evening. Don’t be surprised to see some warnings. Downpours of rain and very dangerous lightning also.

But not everybody will get rain, probadly not even half!
