In the Cool, Morning Freshness
Great to be out walking very early this morning, even well before sunrise and, alas, after only one sip of delicious and delectable coffee! But nice to hear a noisy crow fly over.
The air was so nice and crisp and there was just enough light to make me feel like I could see all the way to Chattanooga. Of course I could not.

* 66 Trussville Skycam compared to 53 in Pinson, a 13-degree difference in only a few air miles. The Trussville Skycam is near the crest of the ridge on Chalkville Mountain Road.
* 56 Anniston Airport, five degrees cooler than a low of 61 atop Mt. Cheaha–Alabama’s highest elevation. The wind on Cheaha was ENE 12 mph, gusts to 24. Would love to be there.

Low of 27 this morning at Stanley, Idaho and the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It was 17 at Big Piney, Wyo., over the weekend
