Bermuda Records 94 MPH Wind Gust

Within the last hour, Bermuda recorded a wind gust to 94 mph.

A weather station there recently reported a barometric pressure of 28.49 inches and falling. The latest AF Recon central pressure was 953 mb.

The Bermuda radar indicates that the eye of the hurricane is passing just west of the island.

Power is out to about half the island according to the Royal Gazette website and flooding is being reported in some sections. The Airport is closed, but should reopen tomorrow as conditions rapidly improve.
