Winter Cold In Alaska

Thanks to ABC 33/40 Skywatcher Kristie Calvin in North Pole, Alaska for these images… she writes:

“Hi James,

The weather has turned much colder and snowier in North Pole. On Thursday and Friday, a cold front brought about three more inches of snow. After the front passed, we had some cold temperatures push into the area. This morning’s low was 8 below zero and our high was 8 above. Mike and I went for a hike at a local recreational area this afternoon. The temperature was 1 above when we left our house. The sun is now rising at 9:39 a.m. and setting at 5:29 p.m. Our days are shortening by 6 minutes and 44 seconds each day.

While on our hike, I was able to take a few pictures. Hope you enjoy them!”
