Complicated Weather!

Bottom line…some cool rain, then windy and cold weather!

We are still under the influence of a wedge of cool air coming in from the east (afternoon temperatures in the 40s in Atlanta), and the big upper level low swirling near Houston.  As a disturbance moves around that low this afternoon and tonight, expect rain to increase and become heavier over north and central Alabama, as the area of rain from south AL moves north.

The cold air really starts to come in tomorrow and Friday, with daytime temperatures in the 40s and 50s and nighttime temperatures in the 30s.  North winds will put wind chills in the 20s at times early in the mornings, with 30s and 40s all day.  High school football will be very cold this week, with temperatures falling from the mid 40s at kickoff into the 30s by the end of the game.  The weekend will be sunny but very cool with lows near or below freezing north of Clanton, and highs only in the 50s.
