A broad line of showers, moderate to heavy, marching eastward across North and Central Alabama at this hour.

At 7:40 am the line extended from the general vicinity of Huntsville and Decatur southward through Cullman County and across the east part of both Walker and Tuscaloosa Country. The line extends southward into Central Alabama to near Marion and east of Demopolis.

The line of heavy showers has entered the west edge of Jefferson County near Oak Grove, They will move east across the Birmingham Metro area during the next hour with locally heavy amounts of rain.

Very little lightning so far.
