QUESTION OF THE DAY
Someone asked me “when do you weather people stop calling it cold and start calling it frigid?”) ANSWER: I don’t know. Personally, I call this cold or very cold but not frigid. Could be because I am so warm natured. So it depends on the individual.

USA EXTREMES
82 was the highest yesterday in Tucson
19 below zero this morning at International Falls, Minn.
33 below zero was the coldest in Alaska at Ft. Yukon and Galena

A COMPARISON
It was 12 degrees colder in Bessemer this morning, with 21, than Salt Lake City with 33. Valley Head, in NE Alabama, with 15, was 18 degrees colder than Salt Lake.
