Northeast Alabama Snow Sticking in Spots
Several reports from Skywatchers of moderate snow sticking to roofs, grass and cars in Northeast Alabama.
Reports have come in from Chris Cheatwood in the Willliams community north of Jacksonville, Vic Bell on Lookout Mountain reports the same.
On radar, patches of moderate snow were moving across Marion and Fayette Counties toward Walker County at this hour. They will affect northern Jefferson County in a little more than an hour.
A patch was passing just southwest and south of Tuscaloosa. Our John Oldshue reported flurries a short while ago…he reports that at the current rate of fall…he expects an inch of snow…if it continues until the year 2015.
Another pretty good patch was along US-82 in Autauga County over into western Chilton County.
You will see some bursts of snow over the northern half of the state. The best chance for accumulation will be from Huntsville over to Jackson and DeKalb Counties, where 1/2 to 1 inch of snow will fall with a few locally higher amounts. Elsewhere, a dusting could occur over parts of Cherokee and Etowah Counties.
