Late Afternoon in Alabama

In the warm, humid air that blankets Alabama, showers developed this afternoon and even a few thunderstorms.

At 5:45 pm, here is a position report:

Most of the showers were over West Central Alabama across Greene, Sumter, Pickens and Marengo County.

This included a heavy shower over South marengo County near Sweet Water.

Other showers were between Selma and Marion.

There was also a moderate shower further north over Central Shelby County.

Everything moving toward the NW.
