Moderate sleet and freezing rain here in Trussville now..

Hoover and Vestavia Police report rapidly deteriorating situation with multiple domino effect accidents. Some with injuries.

I-65 and I-459 are totally iced over.

Officers are requesting sand trucks ASAP.

This will be happening in many places from Fayette and Walker into Cullmman, Blount, Jefferson, Shelby, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Chambers and Tallapoosa Counties.

And we are just entering the second quarter of the game.

Problems starting again in the Jackson area. This will all be heading northeast.

Hopefully we will see a transition to snow later this evening, but for now, icing may be our biggest problem.
