ROADS BECOMING EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS IN THE BIRMINGHAM METRO AND ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL ALABAMA. THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. ALL TRAVEL IS DISCOURAGED.

It will only get worse.

…Numerous reports starting to come in fast and furious from local law enforcement and state troopers.
…MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) at I-20 and Oporto Madrid. With injuries.
…Hoover Police say 459 totally iced from 65 interchange to 31
…I-65 interchange is a mess
…overturned vehicle on 65 at Exit 237 in Alabaster

Perry County EMA declaring Civil Emergency with dangerous road conditions. Travel should not be attempted. All Perry County roads will close at 6 p.m. Look for many other counties to follow suit.
