Noel Has Not Weakened
Although Noel has lost most of his tropical flavor, he has not weakened a bit and has grown larger in size. Some basic facts late this afternoon:
LOCATION: Near Latitude 31.4N, Longitude 72.4N which is about 320 miles SE of Cape Hatteras, N.C.
MOVEMENT AND WINDS: Moving NE at 20 mph. He should start moving more to the NNE and increase his forward speed. Sustained winds still 80 mph. He will race up through the western Atlantic remaining offshore from the U.S. East coast. He will then cross the Canadian Maritimes and eventually move into Greenland Monday afternoon.
