Well, my cheering yesterday did not seem to help Alabama beat LSU though it was close. But my cheering seemed to be the ticket to help Florida State win over Boston College despite the horrible conditions in which the game began. Go Noles.

Dry weather continues for Central Alabama with another gorgeous day for us to enjoy. We should see lots of sunshine with afternoon highs climbing well into the 70s. Monday will be nice, too, at least for the first half of the day. We should see clouds increase ahead of a cold front that will be moving through Central Alabama early Tuesday morning. This front will be ushering in some of the coldest air of the season. with temperatures near freezing on Wednesday morning. The cold air plus a strong surface high pressure system which should contribute to good radiational cooling could see a number of locations reach freezing.

Temperatures will rebound fairly nicely toward the end of the week and into next weekend. The weather is expected to stay dry, too.

Nothing of any real interest in the tropics. A disturbed area in the western Caribbean is too close to late for any significant development. The remnants of Noel are over the Canadian Maritimes so he’s long gone.

Longer range forecasts are suggesting not quite as aggressive pattern as we were seeing yesterday. Still a shot at some precipitation around November 12th or so and the 17th, but that is a long way out to count on.

I hope that you have a great Sunday with this beautiful weather. The deer came twice to our campsite yesterday and gobbled down the corn we had laid out. Got to replenish the supply this morning. Had a doe with two young deer – no spots visible – come yesterday along with three regulars and another one making it a total of seven deer at one time at the buffet. James will be back tomorrow morning around 7 am with the next edition of the Weather Xtreme Video.
