The Northern Lights

Thanks to ABC 33/40 Skywatcher Kristie Calvin for these images… she writes…

“Hi James:

The weather here in North Pole is becoming much more spring-like. We are having highs between 5 and 10 above and lows between 20 and 30 below. With the sun rising at 7:46 a.m. and setting at 6:20, the days warm up nicely. We have a total of 32 inches of snow on the ground and are looking forward to it all melting by sometime in May.

We had the most amazing view of the Aurora Borealis on Thursday night. About 1:00 a.m., the lights were dancing through the night sky. We were able to catch these images through our window.”
