How Did Atlanta Do? (Updated)

| November 15, 2007 @ 7:21 am | 12 Replies

Not too great but every little bit helps. These amounts from the Atlanta Metro:

0.14 at Atlanta’s main airport
0.28 Marietta
0.21 NE Atlanta
0.28 Peachtree City
0.30 West Atlanta

Early but incomplete reports from around Georgia show these heavier amounts:

0.75 Gainesville
0.82 Cartersville
1.25 Blairsville*

* Thanks to Brian K. for the Blairsville report. He lives in the mountains of NE Georgia in a beautiful area and close to Brasstown Bald–the highest point in the state.

We are compiling a long list of Alabama rain reports. Right off, I count at least 15 places that got one inch or more, including Anniston Airport with 1.09 inches. Anniston has been running one of the greatest shortfalls in rain.

Most of the state got much less, some with almost none. But numerous places had more than 1/2 inch.

Brian Peters reported only 0.18 in Helena!
