Kimball, Tennessee Tornado Damage

Thanks to Brian Smith, meteorologist at WDEF-TV in Chattanooga, for these images. He writes…

Good morning James,

“I got the chance to visit the town of Kimball, TN yesterday and took a few photographs. I thought you would like to see these, maybe include on the blog.

By the way, you guys do a heck of job with the blog and weather brains.

Watching the tears run down the face of Fred Dye, who rode out the storm in his bathtub is heartbreaking. He and his wife are sore but alive today after their entire house was swept off its foundation. 1 minute was all the tornado lasted according to the folks in Morristown. Its just hard to imagine how 1 minute can do so much to a town.

Thanks for your daily input! If you see her, tell Melissa Riopka I said hello and we miss her.”
