Storm Surveys Planned for Today

| April 12, 2011 @ 7:59 am | 2 Replies

The National Weather Service in Birmingham is sending out some survey teams to look at damage from last night’s storms. While it appears on the surface that most of the damage was done by straight-line wind gusts, it would not be surprising if they find some short-tracked low-end strength tornado paths. Most of the “structural” damage reported came from tin roofs peeling back and trees falling onto structures. Make sure you read James’ editorial “To Warn or Not To Warn” and leave us with your thoughts on the situation.
