Severe Thunderstorm Warning Includes Birmingham Metro

BMX issues Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Bibb, Blount, Fayette, Hale, Jefferson, Shelby, Tuscaloosa, Walker [AL] till 6:00 AM CDT

I fear we are getting into a widespread damaging wind event from Fayette and Walker through Tuscaloosa into Jefferson and then Hale and Bibb, eventually making it into Shelby Counties over the next hour or so.

We had a 72 mph wind gust at the Tuscaloosa Airport.

Starting to get lots of reports of wind damage from Tuscaloosa County.
