Watch Canceled

The NWS has canceled the severe thunderstorm watch that was in effect until 8 p.m. CDT for North Alabama.

Other storms could develop over this area later tonight…but for now…the threat has diminished.

Here is a quick glance at the Alabama weather situation for now…

As you can see…skies are partly cloudy…it is warm and humid…and radars across the state are clear now.

The upper left box shows the severe weather risk area from SPC.

The lower left box in the graphic shows the current counties under severe thunderstorm warnings in yellow and tornado warnings in red.
