Record High Temperature Set

| May 31, 2011 @ 5:01 pm | 4 Replies

As noted in the morning Weather Xtreme Video, it appeared likely that a new record high temperature would probably be set in Birmingham. And indeed, that was the case. The temperature reached 95 degrees this afternoon setting a new record which broke the old record of 94 set in 2006.

Some other readings from around Central Alabama included:

96 – Helena, Mobile
95 – Birmingham, Decatur, Muscle Shoals, Calera
94 – Huntsville, Montgomery, Anniston, Evergreen
