Strong Storms Over East Alabama

Strong storms continue over East Alabama with several severe thunderstorm warnings in effect.

Storms are most intense from Madison and Marshall Counties through Etowah and into western Calhoun Counties.

Storms over Talladega County are strong, but not severe.

Moderate rain continues over much of North Central Alabama.

Heavier rain is over Northwest Alabama from Marion through Franklin and Colbert Counties. This heavier rain extends back over eastern Mississippi, so hopefully there will be additional decent rainfall amounts through the late afternoon and evening.

0.48 inches of rain fell at the Birmingham Airport between 3 and 4 p.m.
