In the words of J.B. Elliott… the blog is busier than U.S. 280 during rush hour…

You can use the categories to pick the posts you want to see, or just scroll down through all of them.

Temperatures are still generally above freezing across most of Alabama, and roads are simply wet. We continue to believe the greatest chance of any bridge icing tonight will be up over the high terrain (over 1,000 feet) across Jackson, DeKalb, Blount, Calhoun, and Cleburne counties. And, even in those places, the ice will be spotty and temporary.

I know the National Weather Service has extended a “winter weather advisory” down to Birmingham, but the city should not have any icy travel tonight. Temperatures should hold steady, or slowly rise during the next few hours. Our SKYCAM in downtown Birmingham is at 37 degrees with just a cold rain falling.

We will keep updates flowing…
