High Noon in Alabama
During the night, a few leftover thunderstorms from the Tennessee Valley decided to go south. They were slow about it, but around daybreak, the few that was left let out a loud boom (thunder) around daybreak in Blount, NE Jefferson and Shelby County.
Since that time, those few storms shifted of to the east and southeast so here is what we we find at 12:30 early this afternoon:
A line of storms along the Calhoun-Cleburne County line in NE Alabama and extending south and SW along the Talladega-Clay County line and along the Clay-Tallapoosa line to the Montgomery area, and finally.into South Central Alabama.
These are not big bad storms and lightning is fairly scarce. Most of it, however is SW of Montgomery. The storms still giving some good rain amounts.
