Early Evening Across Alabama

Showers and thunderstorms took their own good time getting started across Alabama today and even early this evening, they are not very numerous.

However, there are some notable ones in progress. Most important is Dekalb County in the northeast corner of the state. NWS/Huntsville issued a Flash Flood Warning for Central Dekalb County until 8pm. As much as two inches of rain or more has already fallen and the heavy rain is continuing. The storm was moving south.
