Numerous reports of trees and power lines down tonight as a strong cold front rushes across the state. Mainly affected during the last hour was Walker and Tuscaloosa County where a High Wind Warning was in effect.

The very strong winds are spreading across Jefferson and Shelby County and will be affecting a number of other counties across Central Alabama.

Be extremely careful if you are out driving especially near trees.

In Blount County, the EMA reported trees down on a residence at 9:20 pm five miles SW of Locust Fork
