North Central Alabama is the place to be for rain at this hour. A steady light to moderate rain is ongoing including Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Jasper, among others.

Within that area is some heavy rain in these areas:

….NE Jefferson County
….West St. Clair County
….NE and East Shelby Country
….and extending into SW Talladega County

Moving almost due north
Maybe a little to the right of due north (NNE)

Visibility was down to about 1/4 mile for about 15 minutes in NE Trussville

Very little lightning and that is a good thing!
