Walker County Tornado Relief Update

Many of you have asked about the status of the house that is being built for a family of 11 near Cordova left homeless by the April 27 tornado outbreak. The update below is from Lori Abercrombie with the Mission of Hope, who is coordinating the project…

The Adams project is moving along, however the weather is much cooler and the need for the family to get in the house is urgent, we must move quickly. As I turned my heat on this morning my mind went to the Adams, are they warm? 10 people in a run down wind-stream trailer is not good. Please see the list of needs and plug in.

We need insulation very quickly. $1,800.00
HVAC $6,200.00
Cabinets and shelving $6,000.00
Paint $1,500.00 25 gals. includes paint & primer
Laminate Flooring $2,500.00

AUX has agreed to do the plumbing and electrical. We are waiting to hear from them and waiting for them to work us in their schedule. Pray that it happens soon.

Extras would include furnishings and excavating.

I shot the video below a few weeks ago….

Thanks for helping our neighbors in need!
