Early Afternoon in Alabama

Showers and thunderstorms have increased considerably over parts of Central and East Alabama this afternoon.

Shortly after 1 pm, you could draw a boundary. from East St Clair County down to west of Montgomery and around to Autauga and Coosa County and finally north into Talladega County.

Within that boundary is the strongest storms.

Everything is moving quickly eastward. Cool front approaching from the northwest

DAMAGE REPORT: The Lee County EMA reported at 12:32 pm, treetops and powerlines were down near the Salem area..
