**No afternoon Weather Xtreme video today due to the NWA annual meeting in Birmingham…. scroll down for the student video briefing from the convention this morning**

RIGHT NOW: See the radar below…

We will maintain the chance of showers and storms through tonight as our cold front comes through. A few heavy downpours are possible, but severe weather is not expected.

WHERE IS THE FRONT: Check out these 2:00 p.m. temperatures:

Muscle Shoals (south of the front) 79
Memphis (north of the front) 49

The cold front will pass through North Alabama tonight, and we will experience the coolest air so far this season tomorrow. Temperatures will struggle to get past the mid 50s with a chilly north wind. Showers will end over East Alabama during the morning, but the clouds will linger most of the day.

The sky will clear tomorrow night, and by early Thursday morning the sky should be generally clear with temperature in the upper 30s. The coldest morning will be early Friday with a clear sky and light wind; frost is likely over the northern half of Alabama, with a freeze likely for the colder spots. We rise into the mid 60s Friday afternoon with sunshine in full supply.

WONDERFUL WEEKEND: Perfect fall weather is the story. Look for sunshine in full supply Saturday and Sunday with a high in the mid to upper 60s Saturday, and around 70 Sunday. The humidity will be low, and the wind will be light. Perfect for football, racing at Talledega, or anything else.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 90 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40.
