The new 12Z guidance matches our ongoing forecast nicely, so no need for any midday changes… below is the 12Z NAM snow accumulation projection…

Important points…

*Best chance of snow is from about 9:00 p.m. tonight through 9:00 a.m. tomorrow
*No travel issues are expected for Birmingham/Tuscaloosa/Anniston/Gadsden
*The ground is warm, so even in Northwest Alabama, most of the snow should come on grassy areas.
*This is a cold core upper low, so still look for surprises as the event unfolds tonight.
