First, some good news. All of the strong thunderstorms have moved east of places like Blount, St. Clair, Jefferson, Walker, Tuscaloosa, Shelby, Hale, Perry, Greene, Marengo and Bibb Counties, so the danger of severe weather has ended in those areas.

At 1:15, a line of strong to intense thunderstorms extended from near Ft. Payne and Centre in NE Alabama south westward to near Anniston, Talladega, Rockford and other points in SW Alabama.

A Tornado Watch continues until 8:00 tonight for a number of counties in East/Central and SE Alabama.

Tornado Warnings were still in effect for extreme SE Chilton and NE Autauga until 1:30. Tornado Warnings were also in effect for Coosa and Elmore Counties.

FOLLOW-UP REPORT FROM DALLAS COUNTY
Earlier there was a report of a possible tornado with significant damage at Summerfield in Dallas County. A later report from the EMA said the damage was a few unroofed homes and downed trees.

Down in NW Florida, 4 homes were reported destroyed by a possible tornado Molino near Pensacola in Escambia County, Florida. Large trees were uprooted delaying some first responders.

Some very heavy rain has occurred over Central Alabama with 1.27 inches in Bessemer and 1-2/3 inches in Concord/Hueytown.
