Heads Up Marion County!

| January 22, 2012 @ 11:30 pm

The NWS maintains a tornado warning for Chickasaw and Monroe Counties in eastern Mississippi. This storm is near Trebloc. It is about 25 miles southwest of Smithville, the town that was devastated by an EF5 tornado on April 27th. Before midnight, this storm will clip northwestern Marion County, near or north of Bexar. It should stay northwest of Hamilton, but we want all our friend in Marion County to watch out for this one.

Spotters reported a tornado on the ground near Trebloc just now!

If you are in northwestern Marion County go ahead and get ready to go to safe shelter when the tornado warning is issued in a few minutes.

If you live in a mobile home, go ahead now and prepare to leave well in advance of this storm!
