A Mid-day Look
Very little going on weatherwise at the noon hour across Alabama. However, showers were increasing to our west across Mississippi and Louisiana, They will be spreading east into Alabama as the afternoon goes on. The main showers were over South Louisiana and there was some lightning activity over the Northwest Gulf of Mexico.
We are watching with great interest to our north where very cold arctic air continues to push southward. At noon temperatures were in the teens across much of Nebraska and Iowa. We are still projecting lows around 20 for Sunday morning and maybe lower in the North Alabama valleys. This could be a damaging freeze.
