Tornado Like Winds Possibly Impacting Lamar, Marion and Fayette Counties

Very strong winds are possible in Lamar, Marion and Fayette Counties as this powerful segment of thunderstorms moves across those counties. Sirens will be sounding in some of the communities ahead of the bow echo.

Winds could hit 90 mph in places like Guin, Vernon, Winfield and Glen Allen.

They will affect areas like Fayette, Eldridge, Carbon Hill, Oakman and Berry within the next 30-45 minutes.

Be in safe shelter as this dangerous activity approaches.

The line of storms will reach Tuscaloosa and Birmingham sometime between 7-9 p.m. tonight.
