Very damaging winds

…TORNADO WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FOR THIS STORM…

The storm moving out of Lamar into Fayette County is bowing out a little and seems to have a very strong downdraft, producing very high winds.  Notice that the winds in the outbound (red) area go back to green in the middle…this means the velocities are folded beyond what the radar can detect (55 knots).  But, using math, we can unfold them, and they show up to 103 knots (119 mph) just 700 feet off the ground.

This storm is moving fast and should be in Walker County near Carbon Hill, etc. soon.  This could produce serious damage, and if you are in its path treat it like a tornado.  Since there is a tornado warning with this much turbulence, a tornado may be occurring.
