March Hail

| March 16, 2012 @ 1:59 pm

Vic Bell, our Skywatcher in Black Creek in Etowah County, found himself under a hail core of that strong storm that affected northeastern Etowah and Cherokee County. The warning, which Vic’s report prompted, has been allowed to expire.

He reports that the trees would have been stripped of their leaves if it had been two weeks later.

Additional warnings are in effect for Northeast Alabama in the Huntsville NWS area.

Strong storms still extend from Cherokee County into western Calhoun, northern Talladega and Clay/Randoplh Counties.
