New Warning Winston County

| March 31, 2012 @ 6:20 pm

Storms over Lawrence and straddling the Winston/Cullman County line are severe. Hail is the main threat.

Several hailers out there.

Here is the big picture just showing VIL for hail cores.

If one of the beasts is coming your way, you can expect hail to golfball size or larger.

Quarter sized hail was reported in Altoona in Etowah County at 6:10.

Casen Bryant reports cell near Jasper is pitch black and clearly defined. Big hail likely with that one.

The storm approaching western Jefferson County has weakened a bit, but is still producing very heavy rain and gusty winds.

For the Birmingham Metro, we are still watching severe storm over western Cullman County. It may affect western sections of the Metro before 7:30.
