Putting It All Together

If you are like me, you sometimes get confused at so many warnings/statements and reports during severe weather. We will put it all together with this post:

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning expired for Dekalb County.

* No longer any warnings in NE Alabama.

* Strongest thunderstorm was south oif Centre in Cherokee County and moving SE. It may clip the north edge of Cleburne County before moving into West Georgia.

* 3/4 inch diameter hail reported in Albertville at 6:43 pm (Marshall County)

* A number of hail reports in NE Alabama the last two hours or so.

* Several moderate showers continue across St. Clair and Calhoun County

* Showers were increasing over NW Alabama in Franklin, Marion, Winston and Fayette County. No strong storms involved yet but we will watch it with a weary eye or two.

* We gotta watch closely the new Tornado Watch that extends as far east as Extreme West Mississippi until 3 am. We don’t know this early if the watch will be extended eastward possibly into Alabama. Would not be surprised. Will keep two or three eyes pointed that way.

…..Nearly all of Alabama under a slight risk of severe weather overnight.

…..Finally, just to make you glad you are here…it was 105 degrees at Laredo, in South Texas this afternoon.
