New storm developing in eastern Etowah County…near Hokes Bluff. May become severe.

Tornado warning til 1115 for Cherokee County.

No damage reported from Calhoun County EMA. Piedmont checking now. Possible touchdown around Spring Garden. No confirmation.

A tornado watch continues for Autauga, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega and Tallapoosa Counties till 6:00 PM CDT

The severe thunderstorm watch has expired for Jefferson and Blount Counties.

A flood advisory is in effect for Etowah County. From the Etowah County EMA: reports of flooding in gadsden and county areas. Some are impassible. Roads are hooks lake road and us 411, also on pump station road in atalla, also at atalla underpass, plus south 11TH street at wood grocery, meighan boulevard at pierson chevrolet, pea sized hail.
