Not much change in the overall situation with Miss Debby, especially as far as Alabama is concerned. She is virtually stationary over the NE Gulf of Mexico well south of Apalachicola and radar confirms that.

Sustained winds at 60 mph near the center.

There should be little or no action the rest of the night as far as Alabama is concerned.

Extremely heavy rain has been a problem in Florida, some reports of as much as 12 inches. All tropical systems are overdosed with water.

Debby is sporting 6 to 10 foot waves.

The National Hurricane Center predicts winds maybe a high as 70 mph Tuesday evening.

Rip currents have been very mean even early in the game. The rip currents are affecting an area along the coast all the way from from Southwest Florida all the way around the coast to Southeast Louisiana. They are very dangerous.

At midnight some of the heaviest rain had shifted into Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida

Almost no rain in Alabama at the midnight hour.

We will stay on watch…we may not have many additional updates the rest of tonight because there will not be many changes. But updates will become numerous starting tomorrow morning,
