Thunderstorms have developed over East Alabama this morning and are capable of producing severe weather over parts of Calhoun, Etowah and St. Clair Counties right now.

At 6:15, the strongest part of the storm was just north of Ragland. It is likely producing hail, and perhaps some stones to quarter size or larger.

The storm is moving only slowly east or east northeast at less not much more than 5-6 mph.

It will move east to near or just west of Ohatchee.
