Isaac Strengthening?

| August 27, 2012 @ 12:08 am

Convection continues to increase dramatically late tonight in Tropical Storm Isaac and it seems we should start to see strengthening soon. Hopefully it will not be explosive deepening.

The center is moving too far away from the Key West radar to tell much about what is going on there, but feeder bands are starting to become better defined on the eastern side of the storm.

The Air Force plane is still flying the storm. Hopefully we will have another center fix shortly that will tell us if the pressure is dropping. The central pressure had been rising slowly in the past few hours, and the plane seemed to even be having trouble finding the center.
