Mississippi Tornado Reports

| February 10, 2013 @ 5:44 pm

Reports are always sketchy at first following a tornado event. Here is some information taken from reports of the Jackson NWS office this afternoon.

3:42 pm 3 SE Arm, Lawrence County
Home damaged along with trees and powerlines down. Possible tornado.
Additional report of 3 homes damaged along with several barns.

4:28 pm 1 WSW Pickwick, Marion County
Possible tornado with 3 injuries reported initially but has been upped to 5 injuries.
Homes damaged along Mt. Carmel Church Road and Regan Road.

5:12 pm 3 W of West Hattiesburg, Lamar County
Large tornado reported with multiple confirming reports as well as live streaming video.
Multiple damage reports across Lamar County.

5:21 pm 1 NW Hattiesburg, Forrest County
Damage across the western portion of USM campus. Power lines down and debris blocking roads.

I’m sure there will be additional information coming out of Southeast Mississippi and perhaps Southwest Alabama.
