Radar Check

| March 23, 2013 @ 2:46 pm

Most areas across Central Alabama remain dry for now. There is an area of showers to our west in northern Mississippi where moderate rain is falling; none of this activity is severe. More intense thunderstorms to our south and these storms are lifting to the north and east this afternoon, strong but not currently severe. Severe storms on the Gulf Coast along the Florida Panhandle this afternoon, where the main threat from these storms is very large hail. More thunderstorms are developing in Texas as well.  We are expecting additional storms to develop through the afternoon and evening hours. Storms should persist through the overnight hours as well, main threat will continue to be damaging winds and large hail.
