A dangerous tornado is moving into Pickens County in West Alabama at this time.

it is just north of Pickensville.

There are confirmed injuries and a fatality already.

Damage is heavy.

Spotters reports it is a large and violent tornado.

HEADS UP
For our friends in southern Lamar and Fayette Counties: This storm will impact as it leaves Pickens County before 1:30.

Be in your safe place from north of Pickensville to Macedonia and Ethelville over to west of Reform.

Get ready to go to a safe place in southern Lamar and Fayette from Millport to Kennedy to Belk and Fayette. Leave mobile homes now for safer shelter.

Tell friens, relatives and neighbors in the affected area.
