Gorgeous Spring Weekend

| April 20, 2013 @ 2:49 pm

This is the third Saturday in a row with some of the best weather we can get across Alabama. Today is just wonderful, a light northwest breeze, very low humidity and pleasant temperatures, who can complain. Additionally, the recent rains have really helped keep the pollen count in check so there is some relief for you allergy sufferers too.

ON THE MAPS: A quick look at the weather maps today shows the cold front responsible for the active weather earlier in the week pushing off the East Coast. In its wake, a very board and strong area of high pressure has moved into the and is the main culprit for our wonder weather this weekend.  We are to the east of the high, that gives a northerly component to the wind. That means cooler, less humid air spilling south from Canada, and few, if any clouds.

THE REST OF TODAY:The beautiful sunny weather will continue, a few high clouds could try an sneak it later this evening, but nothing of significance. Lows tonight will be several degrees warmer than last night as most area will see lows in the lower 40s.

HEADING INTO TOMORROW: I think tomorrow will be better than today, if that is possible. Skies will be nearly cloud free, low humidity and a light wind. Very nice!!! Temperatures look to the be the main difference tomorrow…highs should make it into the 70s in most locations.

ENJOY THIS WEATHER: If you aren’t outside today enjoying the weather, please make sure you get out tomorrow and enjoy it. This is some of the best weather that we can see in Alabama. Beautiful blue skies, a refreshing north breeze and low humidity…how many times do you hear that around here? It won’t be too long until we are sweating though the summer months wishing we had this weather back.
