And great news! Bill Read, who retired as Director of the National Hurricane Center last year, will be coming to work with the local chapter on June 20th.

There will be meetings in Montgomery at midday, and in Birmingham that evening. Of course, local chapter members can attend either or both chapter meetings as part of their membership. Non-members can attend for $15.

And the breaking news is that Bill will do a special FREE meeting for students at 11:30 in Montgomery. College, high school and even grade school students who are interested in weather, especially tropical weather, should do everything they can to be there. Seating will be limited and details will be forthcoming.

Also, mark your calendar for July 23rd. There will be a chapter social at the new Regions Field that evening.
