Watch Expanded, Strong Storms Developing

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH INTO 2 COUNTIES:

DALLAS AND PERRY AND  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF…MARION…SELMA AND UNIONTOWN.

Over the last hour, shower and some strong storms have developed over Central Alabama and are impacting areas in Pickens, Tuscaloosa and Jefferson County. Gusty winds, hail, very intense rain and frequent lightning are occurring with these storms. Storms are likely to continue to develop over Central Alabama and will be dropping south the next few hours.
