House Fire Due To Lightning

Thanks to Scott Schablow for these images… he writes:

“Lightning struck the same home twice last night disproving the old adage and causing damage to a home at 1101 Shades Drive. Neighbors say that the first lighting strike hit a nearby pine tree (shown in photos) and bounced into the house, causing a small hole but no significant damage. Thirty minutes later a second bolt of lightning hit the same tree but with different results. A much larger hole was blown out of the side of the house and a fire erupted immediately in the attic of the home. Homewood firefighters responded and the fire was quickly extinguished. As of 9pm there were no injuries reported.”
